Ok, well, a little fact about mwah (Brooke) is that I love to shop on EBAY. I’ve purchased 3 violins, 2 guitars, volleyball gear and other stuff. I think it’s a great tool. So, I had to buy a new pair of volleyball shoes because my favorite pair (The Tornado Lightning Mizuno Wave Tornado 2 Womens Volleyball Shoes) are starting to fall apart since I play in them ALL-THE-TIME!
Anyways, I just purchased a pair of ASICS Gel-Enduro Athletic Gray Shoes/Womens/Size 11 (I know, I have huge feet lol. BUT! The bigger the better for volleyball haha). Personally, I have never owned a pair of ASICS, and therefore have never been able to try them for volleyball.
My current favorite pair of volleyball shoes is the pair we received my freshman year of college. The Tornado Lightning Mizuno Wave Tornado 2 Womens Volleyball Shoes. Their lightweight design and thin sole works well for someone with my sized feet lol. I like thinner soles because when your feet are bigger, your shoes are bigger, so if you are a size 11 with a 1 inch sole, that shoe is going to weight just a little bit more than a size 7 witha 1 inch sole lol. The only negative thing about the small sole is less padding. I land pretty hard, so I bought inserts and that solved the problem.
Now these were the shoes we used for my sophomore season in college. They are the Adidas Vuelo Climacool W Volleyball Shoes Royal/White. We used this color combination since they are my school’s colors. I liked the Climacool features of the air vents on the side and bottom of the shoe, but I had that issue of the 1 inch sole I talked about before. The rest of the team loved them, but I have the biggest feet on the team. So although their shoes only weighed 2 1/2 lbs. in total, mine weight 5 lbs. lol. I also didn’t like them because they felt more like basketball shoes. Being a team captain I was able to pick the shoes for next season. We are getting the same shoes but the newer version. They are more “volleyball-like” as the soles are a little thinner, and I think there is more of a volleyball GEL bottom.
So if you have any comments on volleyball shoes please post them here! I will post the results of my personal study of the ASICS shoes when I get back from the UF camps!

Asics are the best in my opinion. I have been playing for 15 yrs and play university. I dont know if you will like the particular shoe that you got because it is an outdoor runner (The grip might not be that good). For rec however it will be ok. PS…I used to sell shoes for a living..
yeh ive been meaning to write up a response article. i enjoyed the shoes very much. i found myself wearing them instead of my vball shoes during the camp when i played. i knew it would be a little different cause of the fact that they are running shoes, but either way they worked perfectly fine
thank you for the response!
